Security & Privacy

Petacular knows that security is very important to our clients. As such we use SSL (an internet standard) to protect our clients when they make payments through our store. We never pass credit card numbers by email or in an unsecured manner and we never store unencrypted data on this site.

We accept Visa, Mastercard or American Express. IMPORTANT: Be sure to supply us with your EXACT billing address as it appears on your credit card statement. ALL "bill to" addresses must be a perfect match to what your credit card issuer has on file for you. This site has been accepted by the Verified by Visa and Mastercard Secure programs.

Privacy - Petacular collects personally identifiable information (like names, postal addresses, email addresses, etc.) when voluntarily submitted by our visitors. The information you provide is used to fulfill your specific request. This information is only used to fulfill your specific request and is not sold or used in any other manner. Petacular may share information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting us in fraud prevention or investigation. We may do so when: (1) permitted or required by law; or, (2) trying to protect against or prevent actual or potential fraud or unauthorized transactions; or, (3) investigating fraud which has already taken place. The information is not provided to these companies for marketing purposes.

 

Pricing, Shipping Policy

All prices are in Canadian dollars. HST of 13% will be added to shipments going to provinces requiring HST collection, or 14% in New Brunswick, and  GST of 5% will be added to shipments going to all other Canadian destinations.

Petacular ships throughout Canada and the USA via Canada Post and US Post. Options are Regular Parcel, Xpresspost and Priority Courier. When you begin the checkout process and select your location, our system will provide you with the shipping options available in your area and you may then select the method you prefer.

Orders typically ship within 2 business days of the receipt of your order although we do our best to ship earlier. If we are out of stock, which we try to avoid but it does happen, we will notify you by e-mail or phone and provide you with the anticipated shipment date or other options. PLEASE NOTE: Large ticket or slow turning items are brought in to meet specific to customer requests and typically ship one week after receipt of the order. These items typically include: products over $100; replacement parts; PetSafe products; Kidco products and some Precision products.

 

Free Shipping Restrictions

Petacular reserves the right to cancel free shipping orders received with excessive weight, such as cat litter, dog food or cat food. Petacular also reserves the right to cancel free shipping orders to the Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut and other fly-in only delivery areas within northern Canada, at Petacular's sole discretion.

 

Return Policy

Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt provided the customer pays the return shipping and the product is in original condition, including packaging and the product is suitable for resale. If the product is not suitable for resale or the packaging has been damaged a refund will not be provided. The original shipping charges will not be refunded and all returns are subject to a $5.00 cancellation charge.

If a return is necessary due to an error on Petacular's part, or a product is found to be defective within 3 days of receipt, Petacular will cover the return shipping costs at the Parcel Post rate. Contact us to make shipping arrangements prior to returning a product for these reasons. After 3 days, the Manufacturer's Warranty (if applicable) will be the remedy for any defects or problems.
